We're near the end of the summer now, which means it's a perfect time to register for your Fall classes.
Registration has been open to all students since April, but you've still got time. You can register for Fall semester credit classes until Wednesday, Aug. 21. (The semester begins Monday, Aug. 26.)
On top of that, once you register, you can add or drop classes until the semester begins. But keep in mind, you can negatively affect your GPA if you drop too many classes.
There are two ways to register: You can do so online (if you are eligible — eConnect login required) or you can register on campus. Check your college's website to find when and where you can register, as that varies through the colleges of DCCCD.
If you are new to the district, we recommend that you register in person at the college you plan to attend so you can get information on topics like tuition, prerequisites, degree options and the Texas Success Initiative (TSI).
You must complete the application, pre-advising, assessment and advising steps of the admissions process before you can register for classes. Make sure you've also gotten your meningitis vaccination.
If regular, semester-length classes don't work for you, check out Flex Term classes at each of our colleges.
With Flex Term classes, you aren't burdened with following a regular semester schedule, if that doesn't fit your schedule. You can also register for Flex Term classes year-round. The lengths of the classes vary.
If there's something you can't figure out, don't hesitate to contact your Admissions/Registrar's Office. You might also find the answer you're looking for in our FAQs.
