Select Your Program of Study and Career Path Before the Spring Semester Begins

This article appeared in the Oct. 22, 2019, issue of the student newsletter.

If you have not already done so, please select a program of study and career path so advisors can provide you specific guidance and assist you in achieving your educational goal.

You can do this by logging in to the Credit Student Menu of eConnect.

Then go to My Personal Information to ensure your career path and program of study are aligned.

Here's how to update your program of study (POS) and your career path:

  1. Click on "My Program of Study" from the Credit Student Menu.
    • Your POS is linked to your degree plan map and completion.
    • Please ensure you are taking courses under the correct catalog year. If unsure, please see an academic advisor.
    • If you are receiving financial aid and select a program of study, please see staff in Financial Aid before making any changes. Changes to your program of study may impact your financial aid.
  2.  Click on “Guided Pathways” from the Credit Student Menu to select the career path that is associated with your POS:
    • Arts, Humanities, Communications and Design
    • Business
    • Education
    • Health Sciences
    • Industry, Manufacturing and Construction
    • Social Sciences and Public Service
    • STEM

You should always talk to an academic advisor or enrollment specialist to help you make the correct selections to your program of study and career path. If you are still unsure of your career and academic goals, please visit your Career Services Office.
